This Michigan Bridge Just Slashed Its Prices For Crossing
It's always good news when bridge tolls go down, and that's exactly what the Ambassador Bridge has done starting Monday, February 18th. The Ambassador Bridge is slashing the commuter toll to $2.60 (U.S.), down from $4 and $4.60 (U.S.), according to a news release from Detroit International Bridge Co. The new daily fare applies to travelers going in either direction on the bridge, as reported by Freep.
Those residents who have commuter cards have been automatically enrolled in the Ambassador Bridge Premier Commuter Card Program. They are also hoping for increased traffic flow as they'll be opening a third lane for commuters from Canada to the United States Mon-Fri mornings from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and an additional lane in the afternoon from the United States to Canada, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. as well. New commuters are urged to stop at the Ammex Duty Free Store on the U.S. side of the bridge to register for the Ambassador Bridge Premier Commuter Program.
