The first major winter storm of 2020 is hitting much of the Lower Peninsula.

Heavy snow and areas of Lake effect snow were followed by some insanely cold temperatures and extreme wind chills that we hadn't seen in decades.

The final week of January 2019 in Michigan was one for the record books when it comes to the weather events we endured.

There are still some without power following Monday morning’s winter storm, but electricity has been restored to most of the thousands who were in the dark in Southwest Michigan.
