For those of us on the west side of the state, we may not be privy to one of the most scariest haunted attractions in the state. Held in the village of Armada, Slaughtered At Sundown was one of the biggest Halloween attractions. Every year, thousands of people would attend their haunted hayrides. It was even voted 2011 Click on Detroit's #1 Haunted House. Sadly, those days have come to an end. Yesterday, the operators announced on Facebook saying that they will be forever closed:

With a heavy heart we have to announce that the farm has Sold. This means that Slaughtered at Sundown will closed for good. We want to thank all of our patrons for so many amazing seasons.

We are in the process of setting up for a HUGE sale. We will be selling EVERYTHING. Please watch our page for announcements on the sale date and time.

This news has really affected the regulars who attended the event every year:

Oh my goodness that is so sad! I had my Bachelorette Party there in 2011. Whenever someone wanted a recommendation on an excellent experience I always and only said you all! You all will be missed!
My 1st haunted house & hayride! You will for sure be missed... the screams heard from across Romeo Plank will always be remembered.
